Fudan University MBBS Program: Six Year Undergraduate Clinical Medicine Program
Program Overview
Fudan University is among the 30 universities in China approved by the Ministry of Education to admit international students in the six year undergraduate clinical medicine program since fall of 2008. The program aims to cultivate medical graduates with solid medical knowledge, standard clinical skills, and good professionalism. Students will acquire the capacity to work in medical and health institutions, making contributions to the areas of patient care, education, and research.
The program is taught in English and follows the principles of consolidating academic knowledge, emphasizing basic skills, interdisciplinary research, and clinical practice. Students who complete the program graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

Academic Entry Requirements
- Non-Chinese citizens holding foreign passports
- High school graduates or above, with eligibility for university application
- Physically and mentally healthy, with no criminal background

The English Proficiency Test Result is only for applicants whose native language is not English. Students from high school with major courses taught in English may be waived from this requirement.

Application & Admission Procedure
This assessment is organized by the China Scholarship Council on behalf of the Chinese Ministry of Education. Students must take the assessment prior to application. Applicants can check the time and assessment on the official website (www.csca.cn) in early October.
Mandatory Assessment Subjects (Conducted in English) Include: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

- Upload scanned copies of the required documents
The application fee is 800RMB (online non-refundable payment)
Students who meet the requirements will be invited for an interview which assess their overall qualities and communication skills.
Students may check pre-admission results in the application system (Phase 1 on February 15th, and Phase 2 on April 10th). Those qualifying for pre-admission must pay the first year tuition fee within two weeks from the date of the result announcement to confirm enrolment.
Students can download the formal admission notice through the online application system from June 1st.

- The letter should be in English from whom that can attest to the quality of the applicant’s academic performance and scholastic potential.

- For applicants who are under 18 years old by the start of the school year. The guarantor should be an adult, living in China with a stable income source.
- Nationality & Identity Documents
- For applicants who have emigrated from China and have acquired foreign citizenship.
- Proof of Non-Criminal Record
- Statement of Financial Capacity or Financial Support
- If the applicant is sponsored by others, fill out the Statement of Financial Support for International Students.
- Other Supporting Documents
- Applicants can submit additional documents which may demonstrate comprehensive abilities along with the required documents, such as award certificates or published papers.
