On October 14, 2025, Professional Committee organized a workshop on an essential hematological procedure, bone marrow aspiration. We were honoured to host Professor She Maojie from the Fudan University Zhongshan Hospital Department of Hematology as the guest speaker.

Professor Chi delivered an engaging & insightful presentation, explaining the principles, indications, and diagnostic importance of bone marrow aspiration in identifying hematologic disorders. Following the talk, participants took part in hands-on training session under Professor Shi’s direct guidance, using advanced simulation models to practice the procedure. Students worked in pairs, one performing the aspiration while other assisted, ensuring their understanding of specimen collection, sample handling, and the technical nuances essential for accurate diagnosis, but also fostered teamwork, peer learning, and mutual encouragement throughout the session.

The workshop proved highly valuable, deepening student’s understanding and confidence in one of the most important clinical procedures in hematology.
